being a speech therapist

hey, my daughter wants to be a speech therapist too. i seem to be getitng that quite a lot recently, when i tell people that I'm a speech therapist. so, that's great, i tell them. following that will always be..so how do i become a speech therapist? in Malaysia, here's how -

1) do your spm science stream and do it really well.
2) do your stpm science stream as well. bio maths chem is a good combo
3) oh, do your stpm really well too.
4) apply to ukm or usm for a speech science / speech pathology course
5) it's called sains pertuturan in ukm and patologi pertuturan bahasa i think in usm
6) if you wanna go overseas, australia, uk, us are good bets
7) check out the ASHA (american speech language hearing association) site and also mash (malaysian association of speech language and hearing)
8) call up the universities to get more info. ukm is the kl branch campus near tasik titiwangsa. usm is also the medical branch campus in kubang kerian kelantan.
